Iki Island, in Nagasaki Prefecture, is a small island in the Genkai Sea between Kyushu and South Korea. And Iki City is where Omoya Sake Brewery is located. Omoya Sake Brewery is a small brewery opened in 1924 by the first generation Yokoyama Kakuzo near the Indoji Port on the islandʼs southeast. Omoya Sake Brewery is a reimagining of a Sake brewery in Gounoura Town and a Shochu brewery in Ishida Town that has been making barley Shochu and Sake for about 500 years.
